Daily Carpet Care
Fortunately, carpet is a fairly simple flooring option to care for. Simply by setting up a routine and sticking to it, you can ensure that your carpet flooring always looks pristine.
Start by investing in a quality vacuum and putting it to use every couple of days. Vacuuming is about more than just keeping your carpet looking clean, it always helps to prevent the build-up of dirt and other debris that can permanently stain your carpet. You can elect to use a vacuum with or without a beater bar.
You may also want to put doormats outside of your home and encourage guests to remove their shoes before entering as well.
Dealing With Carpet Spills & Stains
When spills take place, the key is to act fast. The longer you wait, the more likely the stain is to settle into the fabric of your floors. We recommend blotting liquids with an absorbent cloth or white paper towels.
You should always check with your manufacturer before trying any unknown cleaning products on your flooring.
Should you settle on a solution, spray some on a clean cloth and begin working from the edges of the spill to the certain. From there, blot the stain. If as you blot, you continue to absorb the original spill into your cloth then continue to do so. This process may need to be repeated multiple times.
When the spill has been removed, use a dry cloth to absorb the remaining wetness.
